Funding

The Trust received an initial government endowment of £6m in 1986 to start putting the Historic Dockyard buildings into a reasonable state of repair.  Since then it has generated further funding from grants, trading income, property development, rents and service charges, and income from investments.

Two-thirds of its income is spent on building preservation, development, repairs and maintenance.
